The campaign, which began in the United Kingdom, has gained popularity in other countries around the world as well. Why Participate in Dry January? The goal of Dry January is to give people an opportunity to reset their relationship with alcohol, improve their overall health, and save money. By abstaining from alcohol for a month, people can give their bodies a break from the effects of alcohol. This break can potentially improve their sleep, energy levels, and overall well-being. Dry January can also be a good opportunity to reassess one’s overall alcohol consumption and consider making long-term changes.
